Hi there! Simone Straub-Clark (she/her) is an actor, singer, and dancer originally from Northern Virginia. She recently graduated from Texas State University with her BFA in Musical Theatre. Simone knew she wanted to pursue a performing arts career after seeing Mary Poppins when she was five years old. She left that theatre wanting to create the magic she’d just seen, and that remains part of her mission today.
Simone wants to create art that inspires others and gives audiences something they didn’t have when they came in. Whether that be joy or a perspective they’d never had before, Simone hopes to be a mirror the audience can see themselves in. She also aspires to push the boundaries of roles typically played by Black women because representation does and always will matter. If others can see it, more people can be it!
When she isn’t on stage you can find Simone scrolling Pinterest, sipping a strawberry matcha, binging a TV show (new or a rewatch), or on the phone with her mom! She loves to spend quality time with the people she loves and seeing as much theatre/TV/movies as possible.
